1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Video Handbook (video-handbook.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What Video Handbook Does

Video Handbook is a web application that converts publicly available YouTube videos into downloadable learning handbooks in Word document (.docx) format. You provide a YouTube URL and your email address; we process the video and email you a handbook.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Video Handbook only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Submit YouTube URLs for videos you do not have the right to use (private, unlisted, or otherwise restricted videos).
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, bot protections, or access controls.
  • Use the service to generate content for commercial resale or redistribution without express written permission.
  • Submit videos containing illegal content.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

5. Intellectual Property

Your videos:We do not claim ownership of any YouTube videos you submit. We process publicly available transcripts under the terms of the respective platforms (YouTube's Terms of Service govern what content is publicly accessible).

Your handbooks: The generated learning handbook is provided to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell handbooks produced by this service.

Our service: All software, design, and original content on video-handbook.com is owned by Video Handbook and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

6. Pricing and Payment

  • Your first handbook is free (one per email address, lifetime).
  • Additional handbooks are $9.00 USD each.
  • Prices are displayed before checkout and are charged in full at time of purchase.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card information.
  • All sales are in USD.

7. Refunds

Please see our Refund Policy for full details. In general, we issue full refunds for failed or significantly deficient handbooks. We do not offer refunds for handbooks successfully delivered.

8. Handbook Quality and Limitations

Handbook quality depends on the quality and availability of the video's transcript. We make every effort but no guarantee that every handbook will be complete, accurate, or suitable for your specific purpose. Handbooks are automatically generated and have not been reviewed by a human editor.

Videos that are ineligible (private, age-restricted, no transcript, non-educational format) may not produce a usable handbook. If your video is ineligible and you were charged, you are entitled to a full refund.

9. Third-Party Services

Video Handbook uses the following third-party services to operate. Their terms and privacy policies apply to data they process on our behalf:

  • YouTube / Google — source of video transcripts and metadata
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Cloudflare — bot protection (Turnstile)
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Supabase — data storage
  • Apify / Supadata — YouTube metadata and transcript retrieval

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Video Handbook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date above.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
